    Hey Connie!
Happy New Year! Jee and I absolutely loved how our last two photo shoots captured the major events in our lives (our engagement and our wedding). Now I think we would love a photo shoot that could capture our daily routine here at the St. John Cafe. Maybe “a day in the life of the St. Johns.” (e.g. Making cappuccinos in the morning, devotions, cooking a meal together, playing a game, playing piano and guitar together). We’ve thought a lot about the layout of our little abode, so I think a photo session at our apartment could really display how our two styles have merged into one really cool place. And it would give us an excuse to have you and Tommy over too :)

I’ve so enjoyed getting to see your work and would absolutely love to be able to have a local engagement photo shoot with you for my hubs-to-be and I! (I also want to hear the rest of yours and Tommy’s story, because we never got to finish our conversation! haha)

Hi Connieee!! I’ve been hearing a lot about your wedding photography via Tim so I’ve been checking in and out of your portfolio when you post it on facebook. I really like your style photography – it has a warm touch to each capture. I’m not sure about entering the contest since your shooting in LA county so I just wanted to drop a line and say hi! Maybe if I take a vacation there sometime this summer – I’ll leave another comment! I miss ya :)

    Hi Connie,
We’ve been emailing about you possibly shooting my upcoming wedding but for the contest I would like to use it for me, my mom, and my sister. We are all three living together this year and because I am getting married it will be the last time we are all together. It would be great to capture this important time in our lives on film. I would like to do the session at our house on Fort MacArthur in San Pedro. The house was built in 1918 so it is photo worthy in itself. Happy New Year and congratulations again on your upcoming wedding!!

    hi consers <3

if i were to win this giveaway, i would want you to take pictures of just me! haha. i sound so vain huh? but really, i would like to have you come down to san diego (if it's not too much trouble!) and shoot me in my new apartment. i figure it'd be nice to have photos of my place once it's renovated, and to document this next exciting chapter of my life.

as an added bonus, YOU CAN STAY WITH ME! and we can eat all the delicious grub san diego has to offer. and enjoy san diego together. both san diego and i miss you (yes, i can speak for an entire city/county).

and if san diego is too far away.. i say we go to disneyland and you can take pictures of me there, and then play together the rest of the day :)

Just heard about you and your giveaway from my sweet neighbor (Samantha Zhang) …and would love love love to win. <3 It's been too long since we had a family portrait done with my ever-growing 2 year old. Your work is beautiful – I'll definitely be following your blog now. Oh, and I'd choose a fun and quirky and colorful location….. something that represents our busy life with our daughter as the ring leader. We live in SD but would of course travel up to O.C.

Hi Connie! You will be shooting my wedding in May, but Josh and I would love an opportunity to do a portrait session/engagement shoot with you. We feel so excited and lucky to have you be our wedding photographer! We would love to do a session in old town Monrovia, which is where we had our very first date 7 years ago.

    Happy New Year and thanks!!

    Hi Connie,
Love your style!! Absolutely gorgeous. My husband and I would like to do a portrait session with our doggies! I know we have always envisioned being in a wide open field somewhere (kinda hard to find in LA county but I know they are out there!). We would love to win this contest and it would be an honor to be a part of your portfolio! Thank you.

    Hi Connie!
Very cool idea. I would like to enter for me and the fam. I think the last time we had family photos done was 1990! Back when my mom made me get a perm. =) Location-wise, I’m thinking the Grove/Famer’s Market, eating and walking around. Thank you!

    Dearest Connie!!!

I’d love to win this portrait session for Brian and me, and my dog Snowball. I’m a huge fan of your talent, and would love an engagement session for Brian and me! We’d love for it to be in nature, perhaps on a local hike! We’d also like to take Snowball with us. Unfortunately, Snowball is getting really old (14 years old!) and can’t walk too well. But his spirits are still high, and his smile is still just as lovely. It’d be nice to capture some more memories with him before he gets any older.

Would love a family portrait session with our 2 year old son. We don’t have any nice photos of our family since he was born, and would like a photo session before baby #2 arrives (God willing). Location can be somewhere with foliage/outdoors, but would like pics in an old ice cream parlor (South Pasadena?). I enjoy your artistic perspective! =)

Wow, this is exciting! I kinda want a session with you for me and my boyfriend, but I think I’d rather want it to be with my three roommates, whom I have lived with for three years and have known for pretty much my entire life! We go to UCI, so a shoot near Newport beach or maybe on the UCI campus would be really fun :)

    Thanks!

MBAD (Melody, Brandy, Annie, and Doris), they were my roommate from the past year. We knew each other from UCSD Chinese Christian Fellowship, and we were very closed together. Currently, Doris lives in LA, and MBA lives in San Diego. We never did the portrait session before, but always want to do it. MBAD usually asked one of our friends, and used digital camera to took picture for us. Even though the quality was not perfect, it was still great time to think back. However, this will be a great chance for 4 of us to take professional pictures.
If the location could be outside of the LA, I would love to pick La Jolla, San Diego. There are beach, coffee shop, and boutique stores. For the theme, um… I am not sure yet, but I know you can help us to find a great theme.

Christine and I started our relationship at USC so we would love to take pictures there. We got engaged two months ago and here is our proposal story: Christine fell in love with bungee jumping and has always wanted to skydive. However, she crossed it off her bucket list after she knew how deathly afraid of heights I am. So for our 5th year anniversary, I took her skydiving. I jumped first, landed, got the ring and bouquet of 60 roses (1 for each month we’ve been together) from my brother and waited for her to land. As she was swooping in for her landing, she saw two huge printed banners saying “Will you marry me?” surrounded with rose petals. I had a violinist (her favorite instrument) playing our favorite song as I gave her the flowers, got on one knee and proposed.

    Hi Connie,

We just had a family session with you but I was SUPER pleased with how the pictures turned out and would love to win a free session with you!! For this session, I’d love to take pictures with the girls in our church. When we started out the church plant 3 years ago, there were only 3 sisters, but now we have grown to 7 (8 if you count lydia hehe) and I’d love to capture this moment in our lives and our church history :) We are all super close and I’d love for us to have a sister’s day or night out, either picnicking at the Getty or hanging out at the Santa Monica pier.

Thank you! Can’t wait to book you next year for baby #2 :D

p.s. chi has a Facebook but i don’t (we share his) so i hope i’m still eligible even though i “like” your Facebook page with his.

I would love to have a photo session with my dog Stubby. She is kind of naughty and stubborn but I think that it would be a real challenge and a lot of fun to capture her challenging-ness. I don’t know about location but an outdoor session would be nice.

    Dear Connie,

This photo session would be for my husband and I, taken before the theme, “God’s marriage,” which includes marriage’s blessings and trials. I would like these photos to reflect the beauty of marriage (according to God’s word – husband loving his wife as Christ loves his church, for example), and the “ugly” side (arising from our sinfulness – arguments, for example). If the location is somewhere within the L.A. County, I would take your recommendation of a place, as I’m hardly acquainted with the area :P Outside, inside, I trust your eyes either way.

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage :) Please don’t be stressed out over wedding planning! (Preparation for married life itself far exceeds in importance and priority.) Have fun, praise God, and continue taking amazing pictures until the Lord calls you to elsewhere :)

This probably isn’t going to happen since you probably won’t be able to come to Taiwan, but it’d be awesome to have a photo session in various locations throughout Taipei City. Taipei 101, night markets, etc. I have some places in mind. It’d probably be for me and some relatives.

Anyways, hope you’re doing well 姐!

i like simple =] I’d be nice to have “our new simple life” captured. whether it be a day in our new home as newlyweds; or a day in ministry with our youth kids; or a walk in the park (one of our favorite things to do!). Simple moments that make us who we are!

hope all the planning has been going well!!
