Boy, do I have a lovely little shoot to share with you guys today!

For our wedding, Tommy & I chose not to have a first-look because we were in love with the traditional aspect of the first-look take place during the walk down the aisle…but we would’ve loved the extra portrait time (and I always suggest having one to clients if they’re okay with seeing each other before the ceremony)!  Sometimes the hustle and bustle of the wedding days leaves little time for portraits, and if you choose not to have a first-look, day-after shoots are awesome (for you & for me). I’m so happy Amy & Justin asked me to do an extra little shoot for them looking fabulous in wedding attire (& traditional korean attire) and chose such a wonderful little place to do it.

Rio and Justin are such a fun couple with great sense of style (and great taste in food)! Plus, when I heard they might bring their Vespa to our shoot (even though it didn’t work out) I knew they were a different brand of awesome. We decided to go the always fun “date” route and go do things Rio and Justin usually do on a date!

what’s a date without the silver screen?

clients who love food have a special place in my heart. we decided to hit up this little burger joint justin and rio swore by & love to frequent called the back abbey:

look at that precious expression!

can’t wait for their wedding this june!

If you’re having a wedding across the country and don’t want to have a first-look, definitely consider having a day-after session instead of or in addition to your engagement session! That’s what Diana and Danny did, and they picked the most quaint, “small-town” place to do it — South Pasadena (one of my favorite places to walk around and grab a cup of coffee, by the way).

i love her dimple!

the light was beautiful… almost looks like God turned on a spotlight on them!

i just loved their coordinating hanboks (traditional korean dress) and the vibrant colors.
